Job Duties:
The English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them prepare for their English and Maths GCSE exams. Duties include assessing students' learning needs, developing personalised learning plans, delivering lessons tailored to each student's requirements, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to students and their parents or guardians.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Education or relevant field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
Education:
Minimum of a degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Previous experience working with students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and empathy in working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Experience in conducting assessments and creating individualised learning plans
Working Conditions:
The role of English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor is part-time and temporary, with hours varying based on student requirements. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within Essex and surrounding areas to deliver lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
