VANRATH is delighted to assist a client in Belfast with the recruitment of a skilled Accounts Technician who will be based in Belfast.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts in line with accounting standards.
* Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
* Manage all finance processes, including the preparation of statutory accounts, month-end reporting, profit and loss consolidation, balance sheet analysis, cost variance analysis (actual vs budget), and "Work in Progress" evaluations.
* Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Brightpay, and Sage for effective financial management.
* Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
* Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial plans, providing insights based on historical data and trends.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies through regular audits and reviews.
* Support the year-end audit process by liaising with auditors.
* Communicate with bank representatives to manage financing arrangements.
* Coordinate with insurers regarding all company insurance matters.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5-10 years in an accounts role
* Strong communication skills
* Strong IT skills
* Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
