Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in the financial strategy and management of the organisation. The successful candidate will lead the finance team, work closely with senior management and the group controlling functions, to provide strategic financial advice to help drive the company’s performance. This role includes financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The FM is responsible for overseeing the financial operations but with a hands-on approach, ensuring financial health and long-term sustainability.
By producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial group guidelines this function supports senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
o Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
o Develop and oversee financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
o Analyse financial performance and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
o Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and support decision-making.
o Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
o Monitor liquidity and cash flow, debt levels, and financial risks.
o Oversee and from time to time execute the operative accounting, including booking of all business transactions.
o Processing of all payment transactions and the timely preparation of financial reports, such as annual accounts in accordance with GAAP and Group accounting principles.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control:
o Lead the budgeting process and ensure accurate allocation of resources.
o Implement cost-saving initiatives and track organisational expenditures.
o Monitor spending to ensure it is in line with the approved budget.
3. Financial Reporting:
o Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company in line with group guidelines.
o Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
o Ensure timely submission of all financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
o Contract and support outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
o Liaise with external auditors and ensure proper audit processes are followed.
4. Compliance & Risk Management:
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and group financial regulations.
o Manage the internal controls, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with corporate policies.
o Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
o Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
5. Team Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing training and development opportunities.
o Foster a culture of financial accountability and continuous improvement within the organization.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, HR, procurement) to ensure financial alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
* Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
* Proficient in financial software (e.g., BC, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
* High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
