Cambs Farm Growers based at Hainey, Cambs are recruiting an Operations Foreman – Root Veg to support the Crop Manager in leading and coordinating daily agricultural operations, focusing on efficiency and farm compliance while maintaining high production quality. This is a hands on role which will involve operating machinery as and when required, as well as overseeing operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily crop production activities, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting. Oversee winter servicing of equipment, irrigation planning, and drain cleaning. Support the Crop Manager in health and safety reviews and ensure compliance with regulations. Provide operational support for planting, irrigation setup, and harvest operations. Operate, maintain and service farm machinery. Lead and train staff, executing tasks set by crop manager. Address challenges like equipment failures, and weather disruptions. Report operational outcomes and maintain records of production activities. Ensure efficient resource use and adherence to environmental standards. Candidate requirements: Driving Licence Passion for farming and working outdoors. Ability to work in a team. Resilience to change. Good Communication skills Willingness to develop new skills. An understanding of technology and digital systems used within agriculture. Willingness to be outside in all weathers and patience to undertake all sorts of practical, sometimes repetitive jobs.
