Job Description:
The Opportunity
As a Frasers Group Manager, you will be directing part of luxury’s fasting-growing retailer. Our luxury division is made up of Flannels, Frasers, Cruise, Van Mildert and 18 Montrose. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will oversee a large team of 20+ managers in our newest Luxury Flagship in the heart of Leeds.
We are rethinking retail and with our varied collection of brands, we are pushing the boundaries of traditional retail environments and future proofing our business. You achieve this by having a strong commercial awareness to coach, support and progress your store managers engagement, providing inspirational leadership on how to surpass the company objectives. You will operate as a business manager for your store, ensuring that business initiatives are met with positivity and pace, whilst controlling and delivering across the board for store operations, customer service, budget control, people and product.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations:
o Oversee store operations and ensure stores deliver to expectation on all KPI’s
o Observe store performance and hold managers accountable for underperformance, providing support and feedback for improvements
o Use business communication tools to oversee completion of tasks and ensure your team understand all key functions
o Challenging and communicating improvements to store operations
2. Controls:
o Ensure wage controls are met on a weekly basis, ensuring store team resolve any issues quickly and effectively
o Oversee compliance with processing of payroll and exceptions, ensuring you resolve issues and problem-solve effectively
o Drive excellent performance on wage controls through detailed analysis and floor-based observations
o Coach store team to work within time frames set by the business and guide them with realistic expectations
o Understand business and customer expectations and ensure this is executed to exceptional standards
o Observe service and use knowledge to coach managers on how to improve
o Understand product features and benefits and coach the team on how to deliver a broad understanding to teams
o Drive KPI targets and motivate team to deliver results
o Analyse data and communicate with teams for improvement
o Understand the retail industry, business challenges, competitors and customers, with a strong commercial awareness
o Coach and guide team on how to interpret merchandising guidelines to the sales floor and strong commerciality and efficiency
3. Development:
o Identify internal and external talent and use development opportunities and performance management processes to drive exceptional performance
o Be self-driven in own personal development
o Plan for development and create clear succession plans for each store to encourage next generation and support business growth
o Create an environment that encourages and rewards performance fairly and equitably
4. Leadership and Management:
o Be a brand ambassador for the Flannels brand both in and out of the workplace
o Inspire the workforce and act as a role model to others
o Develop, coach and motivate your team of Managers to achieve success, holding them accountable where appropriate
o Develop strong relationships with store teams, senior managers, brand partners and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
The Requirements
* Proven experience leading a large team in a fast-paced, multi-department environment is essential
* Minimum 3 years of experience within luxury and premium retail at a senior management level
* Vast knowledge and passion for luxury retail including building brand relationships
* A background that will not only prove you know how to increase sales and profits, control costs and stock loss, but also that you’ve managed senior managers
* Proven track record of internal progression and development
* Must be able to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Able to work a flexible schedule based on the company needs
This is a full-time, permanent role 5 days over 7, which will include weekday, weekend and evening work. The successful candidate should be flexible to work retail hours.
