Children’s Experienced (Child Protection) Social Worker (All Wales Pledge)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Experienced Social Worker specializing in Child Protection under the All Wales Pledge initiative. This role is integral to our commitment to promoting the well-being of children and young people across Wales. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with families, communities, and partner agencies to ensure that the voices of children are heard and acted upon. Your depth of knowledge and expertise in child protection will be critical in assessing the needs and risks faced by vulnerable children, developing appropriate intervention plans, and ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of protection and support.
Develop and implement care and support plans that prioritize the safety and well-being of children.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to ensure coordinated support for children and families.
Participate in child protection conferences and meetings, providing expert input and guidance.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of casework and interactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
Provide advocacy and support to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the process.
Monitor and review existing cases, making necessary adjustments to plans and interventions as required.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized professional qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
Significant experience in child protection and working with vulnerable children and families.
Current registration with Social Care Wales or equivalent regulatory body.
Demonstrated knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and best practices.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a diverse and complex caseload.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £33.00
Location: Wrexham, Wales
