This role is ideal for an experienced Technical Manager ready to step up or a Senior Technical Manager seeking an opportunity to work with a renowned developer on high-profile projects in London.
About the Role:
As the Senior Technical Manager, you will oversee the technical aspects of development projects in London, with the current development being over 400 units and includes a mixture of traditional and RC Frame. This role involves appointing and briefing architects, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
In addition to managing the technical side of projects, you will work closely with other members of the Technical Team to mentor and develop their skills, ensuring the successful delivery of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the technical team, offering support to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
2. Oversee the preparation and review of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment across projects.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and verify adherence to technical specifications.
5. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, addressing any issues promptly to keep projects on track.
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Candidates should have a proven track record as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager within a residential developer, preferably on both low rise and high-rise schemes within the London area. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized, with a strong ability to plan and prioritize for themselves and their team.
You should be detail-oriented, assertive, and capable of building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a collaborative approach to managing technical challenges.
