Liability Adjuster - Construction and Engineering, London
Job Description: Loss adjusters thoroughly investigate claims, determine payment validity, negotiate settlements, and authorize payments to insured parties or third parties. Upon a claim, the adjuster investigates to verify legitimacy and policy coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform loss adjusting for all claims, develop skills for other areas, receive and acknowledge instructions, undertake site visits, meet with stakeholders mainly in the UK and Europe, prepare detailed reports, review policies, instruct third-party experts, communicate with interested parties, and calculate and approve payments.
2. Assist in marketing Charles Taylor adjusting by developing relationships with existing clients, identifying new clients, supporting marketing efforts, preparing presentations, and participating in social events.
Required Skills:
* 2-5 years experience as a Liability loss adjuster, with interest in moving into Construction.
* Willingness to pursue CII and CILA examinations; qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
