As Data Management Administrator you will be focused on the maintenance of master data in our business systems in a timely manner to ensure it is reliable and accurate to support day to day operations and strategic decision making.
Working closely with a wide variety of departments, you will become an expert in all aspects of data across our UK Manufacturing business. You will guide best practice and ensure that documentation is created to support users.
Job Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly effective Data Management Administrator to join the Data Management Team within UK Supply.
Reporting to the UK Supply BI and Data Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of our master data to ensure it is reliable, accurate and updated in a timely manner to support day to day operations and strategic decisions. It is essential to have the ability to prioritise and remain focused whilst dealing with large volumes of data.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of core data including Product Data, Manufacturing Bills of Materials, Routings, and Product Costings.
* Data Accuracy, ensuring that the data contained within our business systems is in line with the official definitions as per the business function owner.
* Responsible for requirements gathering and understanding of business rules and processes that comprise and rely on our data.
* Ensure business functions understand and adopt the required working practices to enable consistent and rigorous data management.
* Integrity of data to be managed and improved through identifying repeat issues and working cross functionally to develop long term fixes. Maintaining and defining data integrities as business requirements change.
* Documentation of business standards and standard operating procedures.
* Sustainable and consistent data by ensuring alignment of data in a multi-system business. Working with system technical teams, business function owners, and group to ensure our processes and data attributes are sustainable.
* Continuous improvement through identification of opportunities with the business to improve processes or service delivery while reducing costs. Developing cross-functional working teams to implement and execute improvements.
* Administering NPI and Obsolescence requests as part of managing the product life cycle.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A high attention to detail.
* A self-motivating approach.
* Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
* Ability to build strong, effective relationships with users and colleagues from across the business.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes (desired).
* Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform (desired).
