This is an exciting opportunity to work within an award-winning service that supports the emotional and mental health needs of young people up to the age of 19. As a senior member of the network of multi-disciplinary CAMHS teams across Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale, you will manage the #Thrive Service to provide high-quality assessment and intervention for the mental health needs of children and young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the service's clinicians and providing supervision for team members undertaking assessments and a range of interventions/managing caseloads.
2. Developing and implementing therapeutic plans of care for children and young people with mental health needs.
3. Supporting the service in delivering training and consultation to other children’s agencies.
4. Liaising with other agencies regarding the implementation of care plans and the management of risk for children and young people.
5. Promoting and supporting mental health awareness in agencies supporting children and young people in HMR.
6. Ensuring high-quality clinical assessment of young people and their families referred to the #Thrive.
7. Managing and clinically supervising practitioners in managing their own caseloads.
8. Being responsible for and managing a (reduced) defined caseload (as agreed with the Operational Manager) and undertaking key-worker responsibilities within the caseload, making autonomous decisions concerning service delivery, risk management, referrals to other agencies, and discharge.
9. Making independent clinical decisions about the appropriate therapeutic interventions for each young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs, and providing or facilitating access to this intervention, including for those young people with learning difficulties.
Working for us, you will find a busy but supportive environment, with regular supervision and a friendly atmosphere.
