The roles demand excellent self-management and prioritisation skills to offer a high-quality admin service. You will work in a collaborative way to ensure a smooth and efficient service. You will be responsible for specific tasks and will have a positive influence on those around you.
These posts are in the admin support hub for the Neurodiversity Pathway for children and young people across Herts who would benefit from a pre-assessment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or an autism assessment. These roles will provide admin support to the admin and clinical teams across partner organisations.
The post holders will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies who provide assessment and support related to ADHD and Autism in a variety of community settings.
• Provide an efficient, comprehensive, professional, and confidential administrative and secretarial service using organisational ability in terms of administrative systems and demonstrating initiative and motivation.
• Use own initiative, working without direct supervision, to fulfil the role’s aims.
• Prioritise and manage own workload and take personal responsibility for a number of specific tasks, providing cross cover for tasks/responsibilities for any service should the need arise.
• Be the first point of contact for inquiries and communications proactively taking action where appropriate or hand over to the appropriate member of the team for required response.
• Plan staff rotas and cover; arrange meetings; manage diaries as required.
• Participate in team meetings, including typing and distributing minutes and prepare presentations as required.
• Demonstrate administrative and secretarial duties to new starters and less experienced staff.

These fixed-term posts are based in Welwyn Garden City. There might also be an opportunity for a proportion of your time to be home working based on Trust guidance (to be discussed and agreed with your line manager based on service needs).
In addition to the basic salary, this post will attract a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum and a maximum payment per annum, pro rata where applicable.
For this role you will need to have a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
