Bishopstoke Park, are looking for an experienced Part Time Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Restaurant & Shop Team
1. 12 hours per week over 5 days
2. This will include weekend and evening shifts. Evening shifts are until 9pm with the possibility of overtime.
3. This is a permanent post; you will be working in a little general store/tea shop and occasionally help in the Restaurant at our Village providing restaurant service to residents and visitors.
4. You will have previous Shop assistant experience, and preferably some restaurant and bar experience from a hospitality background.
Set in the parish of Bishopstoke within historic county of Hampshire. Our retirement village is located within a beautiful natural woodland, not far from the Itchen Navigation. Our 42-acre retirement village provides a carefully selected range of independent living accommodation alongside extensive communal facilities and beautiful surroundings to meet the varying needs of our residents.
Reporting into the Food and Beverage Supervisor, responsibilities will include but not limited to:
5. Assisting in our Shop
6. Conducting stock checks and re-stocking
7. Making sandwiches and Panini’s
8. Food ordering and service
9. Delivering meals to tables and to apartments
10. Clearing of tables to the kitchen
11. Preparation of restaurant for service, events and activities.
12. Cleaning the Restaurant before and after service has finished
13. Serving beverages from the bar, alcohol, and hot beverages
Required knowledge & experience:
14. Competent of computer skills to use service till management
15. Bar Knowledge is essential
16. Food Hygiene training preferred
17. Health and Safety knowledge from a Hospitality background
18. A good knowledge of varying catering aspect
Required skills:
19. Well organized and able to plan workload.
20. Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
21. Able to work individually and as part of a team.
