Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an exceptional Institutional Funding and Partnerships Lead, who has a pivotal role growing WVUK’s institutional funding portfolio, by fostering strong relationships with World Vision Regional and National Offices, and institutional donors.
Your responsibilities will include supporting World Vision National Offices to grow relationships with institutional donors and identifying grant and commercial contract funding opportunities. You will also develop partnerships with external organisations to form strong consortia for funding applications.
This role offers a unique chance to drive impactful collaborations and strategic alignment within a dynamic global context.
Institutional Funding Acquisition Positioning
* Support World Vision National and Regional Offices to build relationships with institutional donors, understanding local funding strategies and priorities, and to position WV well as a credible, donor-aligned agency.
* Enable the World Vision National and Regional Offices to identify appropriate funding opportunities emerging from relevant in-country donors, laying the foundations for successful proposal development. Manage handover to the proposal development team to complete funding acquisitions.
Facilitate the building of in-country consortium partners
* Identify, build and manage relationships with external organisations for National Offices so that partners are prepositioned when required for institutional funding applications.
Strategic Engagement
* Strategic engagement with designated National Offices and Regional Offices to understand, influence and be influenced by their strategic and operational direction.
* Create and implement country engagement plans between National Offices and WVUK to lay out agreed mutual support and outcomes/activities required to deliver National Office and WVUK institutional income objectives.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with institutional donors
* Strong knowledge of grants and contacts in the international development or humanitarian sector
* Proven understanding of development theory, policy and practice, in development and fragile contexts
* Proven experience of influencing numerous stakeholders at multiple levels
* Experience of working in a cross-cultural context in a developing country, experience in West Africa or Asia is particularly desirable
As an active Christian, this role allows you to integrate your Christian faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.
Salary: £36,576 per annum FTE, depending on experience
Contract: 7 months fixed term contract (Maternity Cover).
Hours: Full time - 36.5 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working - Milton Keynes (UK-based applicants)
