Role: Service Desk Engineer
Location: Cheshire
Salary: £25,000- £28,000
Working Pattern: On-Site until fully trained then to a hybrid basis
A role has become available for a Service Desk Engineer to join a prominent Financial Service Provider. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering 1st/2nd Line Support to internal staff across the business. The company specialises in offering financial support and expert advice to small businesses and individuals throughout the UK. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations, enabling the business to continue providing essential services to its clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Log and monitor incoming/outgoing service requests using a bespoke application
* Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users regarding IT service requests and issues
* Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
* Work with Business Support and IT App Support to ensure timely resolution of service requests
* Escalate issues to third-party providers related to network, applications, and services
* Assist users with system understanding and support business continuity/disaster recovery tests
