Job Summary:
As Home Automation/AV Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining home automation and audio-visual systems for various settings, including domestic, commercial, and new builds.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Configuration:
- Installation of audio-visual systems including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing equipment.
- Installation of home automation systems including Control4, Lutron, and Rako.
- Configure equipment to ensure optimal performance and integration with existing technology infrastructure.
- Installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
- Conduct testing to ensure correct function before handover.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on audio-visual systems to uphold performance standards.
- Diagnose technical issues promptly and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Update software and firmware as necessary to maintain system security and functionality.
- Troubleshoot connectivity problems and audio-visual equipment malfunctions efficiently.
3. Customer Support:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving technical concerns promptly.
- Provide training to end-users on operating the audio-visual equipment effectively.
Experience:
- Good understanding of networking required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex audio-visual issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in audio-visual technology setup and maintenance.
