The Role of Casual Academy Coach
The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of our coaching programme within our Pre-Academy and Development Centres to ensure we develop and recruit the best talent available within our catchment area.
Main Accountabilities
* To coach within the Pre-Academy and Development Centre age groups as requested.
* To motivate and develop the individual players whilst working within the Club’s coaching philosophy.
* To always adhere to the Academy Coaching standards and code of conduct.
* To deliver the Brentford FC Academy coaching philosophy as directed to best support player development.
* To work in collaboration with the Scouting and Recruitment Department for the talent identification, selection, and retention of players.
* Form positive relationships with players and motivate them towards achieving their potential, ensuring their well-being and holistic development.
* To work together with parents to create an environment in which all children can thrive and showcase their talent.
* To have the ability to identify individual strengths and weaknesses and apply appropriate coaching and tactical development tailored to the individual player.
* Attend all relevant coaching CPD events both internally and externally at the request of the Head of Academy Football Development.
* To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.

Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics
* UEFA C Licence Coaching Certificate
* FA Emergency Aid in Football Certificate
* Ability to work unsociable hours as required involving work outside normal office hours; evenings, weekends, School holidays, and Bank Holidays.
* Able to always maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Experience of working within a youth development setting.
* FA Learning Safeguarding Children Certificate.
* Basic level of IT skills.
