Are you a compassionate and experienced Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced acute hospital setting. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in Frailty who thrives in a patient-centred environment, focused on supporting older adults and those with complex medical needs.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To provide high quality, safe and effective Physiotherapy services to older adults, as part of a cohesive multi-professional team.
2. To work collaboratively with patients and their carers to effectively assess, goal plan and treat patients following admission to hospital and strive to maximise their independence and quality of life.
3. To supervise and teach recently qualified Physiotherapists, support workers or Physiotherapy students.
4. To actively participate in quality improvement, clinical audit and research projects.
5. To take an active part in the team’s extended hours and seven-day working roster to maximise the access and delivery of older adult rehabilitation.
Person Specification
* Degree in Physiotherapy
* Registered with HCPC
* Post graduate experience in a number of areas including orthopaedics, neurology and older adults
* Knowledge and Experience working with frailty
* Experience working as part of the MDT
* Up to date with best practice in older adult rehabilitation
* Previous supervision experience (junior staff and students)
* Demonstration of Leadership Skills and Application
* Experience of Clinical Governance
* Experience Quality Improvement and Service Development
