Mechanical Engineer/Technician - Power Station
£45,000 + Benefits and Bonus

This is a static, shift-based Mechanical Engineer position for a CCGT Facility in West Sussex focusing on Maintenance of the plant.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy mechanical equipment.
2. Investigating and rectifying mechanical faults to minimise plant downtime.
3. Supporting the operations team in daily maintenance activities.
4. Responding to breakdowns to ensure continuous operations.
5. Recommend plant spares and repairs to Maintenance manager.
6. Assist the maintenance manager with statutory inspections.
7. Liaise with operations team regarding fault finding and modification to process equipment.
8. Any other duties as required.
Requirements
1. Apprentice trained, ideally indentured apprenticeship.
2. Mechanical trained Engineers, Technicians, and/or Fitters, who have training and experience with rotating equipment and heavy industrial plant.
3. Experience working on compressors, pumps, turbines, generators, water or wastewater equipment, power plant.
4. Extensive experience of carrying out maintenance on mechanical process equipment.
5. NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications preferred.
