You will be responsible for the meticulous management of Permutive's global commercial contracts. You will be working in a truly international environment, negotiation a great variety of contracts across different geographies, including SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, and NDAs to name a few. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, primarily our sales team and external legal counsels, but also privacy experts and engineers. You will be able to make a great impact and get exposure from day one. This is an exciting time to be joining us - Permutive is currently exploring and developing new strategies, and one of the Legal team’s objectives is to empower our Go-to-Market teams with new legal templates and tools to scale efficiently and responsibly. We are also currently working to develop new KPIs specifically for the Legal team and to build a “contract risk assessment” review cycle to keep track of negotiated clauses, redline turnaround timings, averted/taken risks. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in contract analysis and process optimization will directly contribute to our operational efficiency and the commercial success of the function. What you’ll be doing… Global Contract Management: Implement and refine scalable processes for managing all global commercial contracts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Contract Review & Negotiation: Conduct thorough reviews of contracts, provide detailed commentary, and support negotiations to secure favourable terms. Commercial Terms Expertise: Support the consistent application and scaling of Permutive's commercial terms across all agreements. Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the management of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions. Tender Support: Assist in the preparation of accurate and compliant commercial tenders. Change Control Management: Accurately document and reflect commercial feedback through meticulous change control markups and commentary. Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement to draft and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with business needs. Contract Summarisation & Risk Assessment: Prepare detailed contract summaries, identifying key risks and proposing mitigation strategies. Process Improvement & Documentation: Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and process checklists to enhance efficiency and consistency. What You’ll Need… Experience in a commercial contracts role within a B2B software company or within the tech department of a leading law firm. Strong technical skills in legal contract analysis and interpretation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Experience supporting and working alongside a multifaceted sales team. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. A relentless drive to achieve outcomes with a deep sense of ownership. Possess a high degree of initiative, a make things happen mentality. Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities effectively. We’ll be excited if you also have… A training contract in house, working with commercial clients or close to NQ. Experience with CLM systems (particularly DocuSign CLM). Experience speaking additional languages (Spanish/Portuguese/French or German). What we are offering We take a structured, objective approach to salary-setting, which is based on marketing information, our compensation strategy, and your experience and capability assessed through our interview process. For a typical candidate who meets our requirements, we pay a base salary between £45,000 - £60,000.
