Due to an increase in workload, our client is looking for a talented Bookkeeper to join their team! This role would suit someone with existing bookkeeping or finance experience, and knowledge of Xero is essential for this position.
Daily duties will include:
1. Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
2. Updating and maintaining the general ledger
3. Reconciling entries into the accounting system
4. Recording debits and credits accurately
5. Maintaining the trial balance by a reconciliation of general ledgers
6. Managing account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
7. Ensuring compliance with industry laws and regulations
8. Monitoring any variances from the projected budget
9. Processing expenses in line with procedure
A sound understanding of basic accounting is required, along with high attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in a similar bookkeeping position is ideal and strong knowledge of Xero is a must.
