Job Purpose:

This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Quality Assurance Analyst who will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
* Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate software applications and systems.
* Work closely with the product team on the design and development of new features.
* Create and maintain documentation and tutorials.
* Implement new processes and create new tools to automate testing.
* Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and work closely with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
* Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and quality considerations.
* Evaluate software for release readiness and report defects to software developers.
* Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress.
* Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations.
* Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency.
* Research the current market for similar products and compare results.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
* 2 to 3 years of experience in quality assurance/testing roles, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
* ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP), or other relevant certifications in software testing would be an added advantage.
* Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
* Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
* Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP/UFT, TestComplete, or SoapUI.
* Knowledge of scripting languages used in test automation, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby.
* Familiarity with test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
* Understanding of various SDLC models like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and how QA fits into each.
* Knowledge of how to integrate QA processes within different phases of the SDLC.
* Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling for evaluating system performance under load.
* Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured for validating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
* Ability to automate API tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
* Proficiency in SQL for querying databases to validate data integrity, consistency, and correctness.
* Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or QTest for organizing and managing test cases and test execution.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or equivalent.
Salary: GBP 40,000 to 55,000 per annum
