At Bloomberg Finance, we are committed to providing extraordinary support to our business partners by providing strategic insight on business performance, financial oversight, and thought leadership.
Bloomberg's Management & Enterprise Business Intelligence (M&E BI) Group helps business leaders at the company make better data-driven decisions. Within the larger group, the Management Support team produces client briefings as well as various analytical reports and dashboards for the Management Committee and other senior executives of the firm. Our aim is to provide transparent, efficient, and on-demand reporting for our Senior Executives so that they understand the performance of our businesses and thus make better business decisions.
We are looking for a driven individual who thrives on taking on big responsibilities to join our team as a Management Reporting Associate. You will be the main EMEA point of contact for our team and will lead initiatives involving our EMEA stakeholders and any VIP client events involving senior executives in this region. The day-to-day role will include liaising with stakeholders across the firm to compile client briefings for our Senior Management ahead of their external meetings as well as delivering key business insights to our Senior Management team by using business intelligence tools such as Qliksense.
Our team is currently in the process of drastically automating our workflow to create scalable solutions. Therefore, we are also looking to leverage a candidate with a technical background and a passion for creative problem solving and implementing new systems.
We'll trust you to:
1. Research and write up client briefings and other reports for the Management Committee, including client biographies and firm details.
2. Work closely with various stakeholders across the firm including Management Committee administrative assistants, Sales, Philanthropy, COOs, CFOs, Accounting, and External Relations to include any relevant notes to our briefings.
3. Develop, maintain, and optimize our business intelligence dashboards utilizing Qliksense.
4. Produce various business data insights by navigating our data in Qliksense dashboards, SAP Excel, and the Bloomberg Terminal.
5. Collaborate with the data analysts and data scientists in the wider Management and Enterprise Business Intelligence Team as well as our Engineering Team to enhance our workflow and further expand on our strategic business insight.
You'll need to have:
1. 5+ years of relevant communication, business/project management, and technical experience.
2. Excellent communication skills including senior executive level written and verbal communication.
3. Great attention to detail to ensure our reports are consistently of high standard.
4. Maturity, discretion, and good judgment in managing complex decisions and handling sensitive information.
5. Exceptional ability to multitask high volumes of briefings simultaneously and to consistently deliver quality reports under tight deadlines and pressure within a fast-paced, fluid environment.
6. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in different time zones.
7. Very strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
8. A demonstrated background of working with business intelligence tools such as Qliksense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
9. Experience in data analytics, extracting insights and influencing data-driven decision-making.
10. Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
