JOB POSITION: Steelwork Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project. KEY INFORMATION: · From 5 to 10 years of experience, · Energy industry experience required (Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…), Nuclear preferred, · Coordination, open point, problem solving, · 3D CAD, analysis tools. (ALL APPLICATIONS NOT MEETING THESE CRITERIA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED) LOCATION: Bristol, UK. EXPERTISE: · Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3 and ETC-C and other relevant codes, · Liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design, · Maintaining procedures in delivering the SW design, working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models, · Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures, liaising with colleagues in Edvance Paris, · Resolving identified technical issues, · Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data, · Produces the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications, calculation notes), · Coordinate CAD Design, · Perform design activities for fastenings and anchorages in concrete, · Develop substantiation reports and complete surveillance of applicable technical documents, · Perform technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building, · Create and maintain and responsible for the Design Risk Register, · Responsible for anchorage design activities. Qualifications : Good knowledge and understanding of design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery. Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations, Eurocodes. Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous.Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures. Knows how to deal with the design and layout constraints. Software and Tools: Good knowledge of RSTAB, PDMS (or any 3D design software), Autocad 2D and Navisworks software (consultation).
