If so, there are innovative and exciting opportunity within our North Yorkshire, York, and Selby AMH Service. We have a permanent opportunity for the role of Community Modern Matron. You will be joining a senior leadership team and taking a leading role in delivering and supporting the delivery of safe, effective and person centered care.
Main duties of the job
You will be welcomed by the teams across the locality and will work alongside another enthusiastic, excellent Modern Matron. You will work as part of the leadership team including, General Manager, Service Managers, and Clinical leaders you will be line managed and supported by the Associate Director of Nursing and other Modern Matrons in the NYYS Care Group
You will be taking a lead on development, assurance and supporting the identified teams in your portfolio in the speciality with the transformation in order to ensure patient safety, excellent care and service development.

Qualifications
Essential
1. RN, current professional registration with NMC
2. Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience to master's level equivalent
3. Recognised clinical teaching qualification or equivalent clinical mentoring and teaching experience
4. Leadership qualification or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
5. Quality Improvement Systems for Leaders or willing to undertake within agreed timescale.
6. Evidence of continuous personal development
7. Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential
8. Extensive experience working with people with complex mental ill health or learning disabilities in an inpatient or community environment
9. Extensive experience working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
10. Extensive experience in a clinical nurse leadership role
11. Extensive experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring and teaching to healthcare professionals and students.
Knowledge
Essential
12. Sound knowledge of principles of nursing and how to apply these in a practice setting
13. Significant evidenced based knowledge of best practice in caring for patients in the designated field
14. Good understanding of relevant legislation and guidance (. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, CPA, Safe Staffing) and its application in practice.
