Haematology CAR-T Clinical Nurse Specialist
We are delighted to be able to recruit to a newly created Haematology CAR-T Clinical Nurse Specialist to support our patients with the haematology service at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours worked usually between 08.00-16.00.
Applications are encouraged from registered nurses with experience in caring for patients in a Haematology/oncology outpatient setting. For training and support, the successful candidate will be required to spend time with the established CNS team at Oxford Road campus to develop skills and confidence in the role. Line management and ongoing professional support for this post will be provided by the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team based on Oxford Road Campus.
This is a 12 month secondment covering maternity leave.
Main Duties of the Job
You will have a clear understanding of the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist as a clinical expert, leader, researcher, and educator. You will act as the key worker for patients with a haematological diagnosis. Your role will be an integral part of the Hematology department and you will be expected to contribute to educational sessions and MDT meetings regularly. You will also be committed to the development of specialist nursing practice and demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional and academic development.

Qualifications
* Educated to diploma level
* Speciality qualification
* Teaching qualification
* Evidence of level 3 studies
* Graduate or working towards first degree in health-related subject
Experience
* Minimum of band 5 practitioner level
* Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/speciality
* Recent evidence of continuing professional and personal development, both clinical and managerial.
* Evidence of delivering teaching programmes to staff groups
* 2 years experience
* Evidence of proven clinical record
* Maintained development of clinical leadership skills
* Evidence of diplomacy and negotiation skills
* Able to demonstrate imaginative and effective use of resources
* Able to articulate personal development needs
* Demonstrates knowledge of audit/research recommendations
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Evidence of involvement in change management
* Undertaken a leadership programme e.g. LEO
