The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient procurement service across a range of stakeholders. There will be some element of remote working in line with the Trust Home Working Policy. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will provide procurement expertise to stakeholders within the Trust: advising on successful contracting within the context of public procurement regulations and the Trust's internal regulations and policies. Main duties of the job To support the Head of Procurement by taking responsibility for formal Procurement of Goods and Services. To review products and/or services used across the Trust and wider partnering organisations e.g. WorkingTogether, Shelford, giving consideration to usage; ensuring that best value is obtained for all products and/orservices. To ensure Procurement activity achieves best value for money based on whole lifecycle costs, while complyingwith all Trust financial procedures and Procurement Directives.
