This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of the maintenance team through further planned maintenance, reactive and development of continuous improvement activities.
The Role:
Working on a day shift Monday to Friday, you'll be reporting to the Engineering Manager responsible for maintenance duties on manufacturing and plant equipment.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be an experienced maintenance engineer who is skilled and knowledgeable in Mechanical and Electrical maintenance. The client will consider a bias in Electrical or Mechanical; however, Multi-skilled is essential.
Duties:
1. You will be responsible for carrying out regular routine and breakdown maintenance on Electrical/Mechanical equipment. Please note the majority of the breakdowns are of a Multi-skilled nature.
2. Working knowledge or understanding of electrical systems, transformers, motors, and various types of motor control systems, PLC fault finding.
3. Repair and maintain plant manufacturing equipment for all Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical breakdowns.
4. Experience with machine HMIs, PLCs, and diagnostics is desirable.
5. Developing and implementing planned maintenance systems.
The Requirements:
1. Experience working with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electrics.
2. Strong Mechanical/Electrical fault finding skills.
3. Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated individual.
4. Time served as an apprentice in a mechanical/electrical engineering background or HNC/HND qualified.
5. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
6. A good working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
