Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Wing Lead Design Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Filton, UK. You will require 'Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role. You will ensure structural designs meet airworthiness and product requirements, adhering to Design Quality Assurance Criteria. Define, deliver, and enable technical studies, trades, and investigations to provide technical solutions in line with relevant design methods and procedures. Give support the identification, management, and delivery of changes through Mod opening, DFM release, and Stage 3 Closure of Mods, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality outcomes. Lead internal and external design teams, promoting Lean Engineering improvements, particularly 'Right First Time' and Lead Time Reduction, to meet program constraints. Organize and govern design and maturity reviews in accordance with Airbus policies, processes, and practices. Essential Skill Set Experience leading design or project teams. Proven track record in managing complex or high-value projects. Ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Creative problem-solving skills for complex challenges. Proficiency in risk management and taking calculated risks. Decision-making and influence within a complex network of stakeholders and customers, ensuring right first-time delivery and achieving planned milestones. Ability to integrate with and influence technical experts and specialists to achieve optimal technical and business solutions. Strong history of maturing new technologies, implementing Design to Cost projects, and initiating strategic technology projects.
