Job Title: Quality Engineer
A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Glasgow.
The role encompasses:
* Product & process quality planning, ensuring customer requirements are met according to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 standards.
* Monitoring and analysing customer processes and delivery performance to guarantee quality performance in terms of defects, quality costs, and customer returns.
* Conducting root cause analysis for internal and external product or process non-conformances, reporting findings and implementing corrective action plans in a timely manner while informing customers of progress.
* Promoting the commercial interests of the client in all dealings with customers.
Duties of the successful Quality Engineer include:
* Implementing and maintaining customer requirements, striving for continuous improvement in monthly performance (100% target) and DPPM with a goal of 0% defective, as well as analysing and reporting customer data.
* Developing and implementing process controls to ensure adherence to process and quality objectives.
* Maintaining compliance with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 standards across all processes.
* Improving controls, systems, and performance both internally and externally.
* Ensuring production personnel and quality auditors understand quality requirements and provide support when quality issues arise. The Quality Engineer has authority to halt production to correct quality problems.
Main success criteria:
* Meeting customer requirements.
* Continuously improving process, product, and delivery performance (with a target of zero DPPM) for responsible customers.
* Enhancing the quality system for products and processes under their responsibility.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
