Were looking for a talented Transport Operator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on our day shift, working Tuesday to Friday, 0900 2000 and Saturday 0700 - 12 noon.This is for our shared user network based in Wakefield. What youll do on a typical day: Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations. Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner. What you need to succeed at XPO: Essential: 1-2 yearsexperience with a transport office Essential: Excellent communication and people skills youll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders and drivers. Essential: Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook. Essential: Great organisation skills.
