Position: Youth Training Tutor
Location: Newport Youth Academy
Salary: £120 - £150 per day ...
Contract: 3 Months+
About Newport Youth Academy:
Newport Youth Academy is the leading training provider in Newport, dedicated to transforming the lives of young people aged 16-24. Our innovative approach combines vocational education with practical work placements, enrichment activities, and personalized support. We operate 51 weeks a year, providing a unique, non-mandatory provision where learners are paid to attend and receive transport and lunch allowances.

Key Responsibilities:
4. Design and Deliver Learning Programs: Create and implement engaging training modules that promote positive learner progression.
5. Plan and Assess: Work collaboratively with learners to plan their learning and assessment processes.
6. Recruit Learners: Attract and enroll young people into our transformative training programs.
7. Conduct Inductions: Welcome new learners, complete eligibility documentation, and conduct structured induction sessions.
8. Facilitate Workshops: Lead personal development workshops aimed at fostering growth and development.
9. Deliver Qualifications: Ensure the timely and successful completion of agreed qualifications.
10. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with partners, employers, and support agencies for effective program referrals.
11. Support and Motivate Learners: Build positive relationships with learners, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
12. Monitor Performance: Manage contractual performance targets, ensuring compliance and maximizing funding.
13. Review Outcomes: Conduct regular reviews to monitor program outcomes.
14. Implement Policies: Adhere to and implement the Council's Equality, Health & Safety, and Safeguarding policies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
15. Education: Minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject; PTLLS, IAG, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
16. Experience: Proven experience in educational pathway delivery, working with vulnerable learners, and developing course materials.
17. Skills: Effective written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and a team player with initiative.
