Flat Roofing Technical Sales Manager – UK and Ireland
Location(s)
We are seeking a Flat Roofing Technical Sales Manager – UK and Ireland that will be responsible for growing share of our industry leading glassmat faced gypsum panels for flat roofing systems in the territory. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in the commercial construction and building materials industry. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment of developing and executing a commercial strategy as well as identifying, cultivating, and maintaining profitable business relationships with key influencers including system manufacturers, architects/engineers, roofing contractors, and main contractors. The ability to collaborate with various capabilities in a matrixed organization is fundamental to success in the role. This role will report to the International Business Director. 50% travel throughout the territory is required.
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is one of the largest plasterboard manufacturers in North America and the innovators of the leading roof protection board brand in North America. You will be on the International Sales Team, a growing team, responsible for profitably growing markets outside the US (United States) and Canada with our equity brand of gypsum panels. Growing the roof board category in Europe is one of the main growth opportunities for the broader gypsum division.
What You Will Do
1. Pipeline Development: Building up a strong project pipeline ensuring account planning, increased sales, and accurate sales forecasting. Leverage CRM (Candidate Relationship Management) tool to help prioritize sales initiatives, identify key value drivers, properly track opportunities, and enhance internal collaboration to provide a superior customer experience.
2. Key Influencer and Key Account Identification, Development and Management: Identify and develop key influencer accounts in line with the business strategy to drive mutually beneficial outcomes. Leverage CRM tool to effectively execute and track account management plans.
3. Sales Strategy/Territory Plan Development: Leverage market analysis and economic thinking to develop and execute sales strategies and a territory plan. Collaborate with Inside Sales, Logistics, Product Management, Technical, Marketing to ensure we have alignment and support for the plan.
4. Market Analysis and Development: Define and continually update existing and new market analyses related to opportunity, competitive situation, construction practices and regulations/standards, barriers, market pricing, etc. so that strategies and priorities can be validated and adjusted.
5. Technical Support: Facilitate providing technical support to waterproofing manufacturers, roofing contractors, and the design community; leverage internal resources to ensure compliant responses that meet customer needs while mitigating risk.

12. Fluency in the English language.
What Will Put You Ahead
1. Proven record of accomplishment of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to develop and execute commercial strategies.
2. Proficient value chain and technical understanding of commercial flat roofing systems including single ply and bitumen.
3. Experience navigating FM approvals system called RoofNav.
4. Familiarity with flat roofing code, performance, and standards in the territory.
5. Expertise with Salesforce CRM or similar CRM tools.
6. Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, building construction, architecture, or the sciences.
7. Understanding of architectural sales and the construction process.
8. Experience with the building enclosure or exterior construction.
