Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant Location: Caerphilly Position: Teaching Assistant (Welsh-Speaking) Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: Immediate We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Caerphilly. This role involves providing 1:1 support to two pupils in Year 3 and Year 6 who present with challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Offer tailored support to help the children achieve their potential. Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively. Collaborate closely with the class teachers and SENCO to adapt and deliver learning plans. Foster a positive, nurturing environment to support the pupils’ academic and emotional development. Communicate confidently in Welsh, supporting the school’s bilingual ethos. Requirements: Fluent Welsh speaker (essential). Experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour or SEN. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, resilience, and a passion for making a difference.
