We have a great opportunity for Stores Persons in our Kerry Agriculture team in our Newmarket store.
The position is a full-time, permanent role.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.00 pm, with occasional Saturdays from 8.30 to 12.00. Overtime and weekend work are available occasionally.
This role reports to the Location Manager. As a Stores Person, you will help our customers, manage stock, and assist with other store duties. Any experience as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver, Stores Operative, Stock Controller, or similar will be advantageous. Full training will be provided.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities as a Store Person will include:
* Serving customers, addressing customer queries, and handling phone inquiries.
* Managing stock in the store and the yard, including stock counting and managing inwards and outwards deliveries.
* Record keeping for stock internal audits.
* Forklift duties - loading and unloading products such as animal feeds, fertilizers, store goods, and merchandising products.
* Maintaining housekeeping within the store and handling cash.
* Ensuring confidentiality of our customers is maintained at all times.
* Following Health and Safety guidelines.
* Supporting the store manager and other team members.
What do you need to be successful?
* Customer care and stores experience.
* Knowledge of agricultural products is desirable.
* Forklift training, manual handling, and chemical training will be provided during induction.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Good problem-solving skills.
