Main duties of the job As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will be responsible for delivering expert care and leadership in cardiac rhythm management, including device implantation, programming, and follow-up. Your work will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in a modern and forward-thinking environment. CRM Device Management: Independently following up all CRM devices (including remote monitoring). Reprogramming devices in line with national and local guidelines. Supporting implantation of pacemakers, ICDs (including S-ICDs), CRT devices, and Conduction System Pacing. Service Development & Leadership: Taking overall responsibility for the CRM service including service development and daily operations, including stock management, data entry/submission, and manufacturer advisories. Providing training to junior team members and the wider MDT. Providing professional development including appraisal and clinical supervision. Deputising for the Head of CIU. Coronary Angiography & Intervention: Participating in procedures, including a Primary PCI service during normal hours and pacemaker implantation. Professional Development: Managing your own learning and staying up to date with emerging evidence and national guidance, with full support from the Trust. Improving leadership capabilities through learning and coaching opportunities.
