Development Role Band 7/8a
This is a unique development opportunity to join a busy finance department within an acute trust based in Surrey.
This role will start as a band 7 and will progress to an 8a once criteria is met.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Finance Team are looking to appoint a highly motivated Finance professional who will work as an integral link between Finance and operational services.
This role is perfect for a recently qualified or final year CCAB or CIMA professional to step into a band 7 or 8a role, dependent on qualification and experience. At the Finance Manager development role (band 7) we will support your progression into a Finance Manager (band 8a) following an agreed pathway.
This is a key and exciting role where your financial expertise will be fully used in ensuring the Trust delivers safe, effective, and high-quality patient care within the financial resources available.
Your main duties will include:
1. Budgetary management and reporting.
2. Financial planning and forecasting.
3. Benchmarking performance.
4. Driving financial efficiency.
5. Providing expert advice and guidance.
6. Supporting business planning.
7. Training and supervising members of your team.
The ideal candidate should be CCAB/CIMA qualified or final level and have comprehensive Financial Management experience within the NHS.
