We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research or Teaching and Scholarship) within the Department of Mental Health and Well-being to deliver Master’s level teaching on our Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes and doctoral level teaching and supervision on our new DCouns programme, as well as input on other programmes including MSc Mindfulness Studies and our two undergraduate Counselling and Psychology programmes. We are seeking to appoint a positive, creative, and collegial, Senior Lecturer within the Department of Mental Health and Well-being. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will be motivated to contribute to a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department and the School. As a researcher-practitioner, you will undertake and share high-quality research in line with the School’s Research Strategy and Aberdeen 2040, working with others to enhance the School of Education’s research reputation, generating new knowledge to make a difference by improving understanding and application of mental health practices. You will play a leadership role in the DCouns programme, working collegiately with colleague s across the School of Education. Informed by your expertise and interest, you will teach within Counselling and Psychotherapy at postgraduate levels. Through collaborative planning and teaching, you will deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities, as well as supporting students’ pastoral, learning, and assessment, needs. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will support the on-going embedding of a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department. Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8, £58,596 - £65,814 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
