About the Role
This role offers the chance to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality delivery in line with industry standards. The successful candidate will be an NEC contract expert, capable of maximising value, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and driving financial efficiency across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure projects.
* Managing and administering contracts under the NEC form of contracts to ensure compliance and best practice.
* Conducting risk assessments and providing strategic cost management.
* Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities to maximise project value.
* Managing subcontractor and supplier contracts, including procurement and negotiations.
* Monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
* Preparing accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to optimise project outcomes.
* Ensuring compliance with contractual, financial, and legal obligations.
* Conducting site visits to assess progress and financial implications.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in infrastructure, ground investigation, or foundation testing projects.
* Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC contracts.
* Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify and drive cost savings.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
