Operations ManagerBurton, West Midlands£45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE) + £5,000 CPC Allowance
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead their Burton Depot, overseeing a team of 90 drivers. This role involves managing all aspects of bus operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service while improving profitability. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee bus operations, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Engage with drivers and customers, fostering a positive working environment.
* Ensure that company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation are adhered to.
* Deliver on budgets and service quality targets.
* Plan staff schedules to meet operational requirements.
* Work collaboratively with trade unions and local authorities.
* Implement strategies for collision reduction and injury prevention.
* Conduct driver appraisals, training, and disciplinary procedures.
* Ensure effective cash handling and driver induction processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a large team.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Proficient in IT with an ability to analyze performance reports.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance is essential.
* CPC certification (or working towards) is desirable to comply with O’ licence and Transport Manager responsibilities.
