Summary:
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of injection molding tooling and they are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer. The incumbent of this role is responsible to actively and aggressively promote our client as the leading edge supplier of any and all technologies related to the injection molding industry specifically targeting the automotive sector.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Support the sales and service process for the automotive market.
2. Maximize opportunities for future sales in a prompt and effective manner; further develop customer relationships and continue to build a network within the customers’ site.
3. Support technical inquiries from customers and recommend suitable tooling for their business needs.
4. Automotive mold and tooling design, utilizing CAD.
5. Respond to technical queries from customers and sales representatives, with the automotive market.
6. Support the applications’ technical review for resin specifications, gate locations etc. Analyze and recommend simulation analysis as required for the project; evaluate the results in order to recommend the best solution for customers.
7. Review, recommend and approve any change requests for orders.
8. Review the technical documents, quick start guides, and configuration documents which will be used both internally and externally; ensure accuracy of the technical information.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, with a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with SAP or an ERP is preferred. Incumbent should have strong skills in 3D CAD software - PTC Creo Parametric software. 3D Direct Modeling/Flex Modeling. Robust background in tooling and processing will be an asset. The individual should have an excellent record with Engineering, Sales Representatives, and Manufacturing to help identify development opportunities and evaluate competitive products. Previous experience as Process Engineer or Industrial Engineering or Tool and Die Maker would be an asset. Previous experience with tooling as related to injection molding processes is strongly preferred, as well as hands-on 3D CAD package.
