Location: THE PIG in the Cotswolds, Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Flexible hours, contracts, and work patterns available.
Welcome to THE PIG in the Cotswolds. In January 2024, we acquired the 17th century Barnsley House hotel that is tucked away in the quintessential Cotswold’s village just four miles from Cirencester. THE PIG in the Cotswolds offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu. In addition, The Village Pub will bring together hotel guests and friendly locals. We are delighted to be recruiting for Kitchen Porters to join either our hotel or pub brigade.
The Role:
As Kitchen Porter, you play a vital role in the preparation and function of the kitchen. This is an ideal role if you are seeking a position within a kitchen that can develop your skills and offer progression.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Washing plates, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
* Cleaning kitchen machinery, ensuring all machinery is operating efficiently.
* Mopping floors and wiping down kitchen stations and surfaces.
* Ensuring sufficient supply of clean stock, ready to use as/when required.
* Following hygiene standards, including recycling and waste management.
* Supporting the kitchen with basic food prep as/when required.
Experience as a Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen is preferred but not essential. We will provide all the necessary training required for the role. All we are looking for is the willingness to learn and a strong work ethic - taking pride in a job well done.
