RSW are recruiting for a Finance and Office Administrator. You will be responsible for providing financial and administration support to the Finance Manager. The Finance department is responsible for Finance, Office and Procurement tasks with some additional HR responsibilities. Are you someone who?:
1. Has prior experience in a similar role along with an interest in finance
2. Has Microsoft Office experience
3. Is able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
4. Is thorough, with good attention to detail
5. Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
6. Has experience using Xero or similar (desirable)
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks and other ad-hoc finance duties
2. Perform data entry for financial transactions
3. Bank and petty cash reconciliation experience of several individual accounts
4. Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures
5. Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
6. Maintain accurate and organised financial records
7. Maintain personnel files, overtime forms, contracts, holiday amendments, etc. This is largely managed through a digital HR system. Training provided.
8. Answer telephone enquiries professionally, along with greeting guests and visitors
9. Provide support to all teams and directors as needed
10. Maintain office and cleaning supplies
11. Arrange refreshments for events or meetings
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in an accounting or finance role
2. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero
3. Accounts payable - purchase invoice processing, query resolution, and payment control
4. Accounts receivable - generating customer invoices, query resolution
5. Maintain Xero transactions
6. Support in preparing the financial accounts, including but not limited to P&L and Balance Sheet
7. Support preparation of other aspects of finance department responsibility such as payroll
8. Point of contact on overtime and expenses forms for employees
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
10. Knowledge of financial services and basic accounting principles
11. Excellent organisational and time management skills
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. Proficiency in using Bright HR or similar HR system is a plus
