We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Stores Assistant to join our team at our base maintenance facility in Bournemouth. Reporting directly to the Stores Manager, you will ensure efficient inventory controls in compliance with aviation maintenance standards. Your responsibilities will include manning our internal parts counter, accurately inputting stock movements, maintaining minimum stock levels, and fostering strong communication with engineers at our Bournemouth facility and across our network of line stations. Your new role:
* Inspect and prioritise booking in all incoming goods.
* Control and maintain inventory and van stock records.
* Issue stock and tooling efficiently.
* Monitor and prevent consumable stock shortages.
* Accurately record all stock movements in the networked system.
* Raise and manage orders from approved suppliers.
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
* Ensure timely availability of parts for Maintenance.
* Facilitate parts movement between facilities and restock company vans.
* Communicate effectively with engineering and planning departments.
Requirements:
* Experience within an aircraft maintenance organisation preferable but not essential.
* Possessing a full UK driving license, you have the unrestricted ability to travel as needed.
* Demonstrating a strong passion for providing excellent customer service is crucial for you.
* You are adept at planning and prioritizing effectively, ensuring efficient task management.
* Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are excellent, enabling you to convey information clearly.
* With a keen sense of diligence and high levels of integrity, you consistently demonstrate professionalism.
* Your self-motivation and ability to work independently without supervision are notable strengths.
* Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you communicate effectively as part of a team.
