Throughout the Specialist Practice Qualification, you will work under the direction of, and full supervision of a qualified District Nurse Applicants must be available for the full 52 weeks of the year and are expected to attend all taught components of the course and the required practice placement hours, Monday to Sunday. Successful applicants will also need to apply for the primary and community care programme with the University of surrey through a telephone interview. You will need evidence of NMC registration, your degree, proof of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths and previous study at level 6. Main duties of the job The post holder follow the University of Surrey District Nursing Specialist Practice Qualification (DN SPQ) programme. They will work under the direction and supervision of a Procare Community Services Community Practice Assessor / Supervisor and will be supported by a personal tutor from the University of Surrey for the duration of the 12 month programme.To deliver Community nursing care in accordance with national and local policy and guidance and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council while working towards the DN SPQ.
