Based within the Quality and Logistics team in the Waste and Recycling Service department, you will: Ensure that Quality and Logistics team support all areas of the Waste and Recycling Service. Oversee the provision of a full range of logistical support services that are essential to the day-to-day effective front-line control and operation of the service, with a particular emphasis on performance reporting and customer service excellence to ensure contractual obligations and service standards are achieved. Work in collaboration with the central communications service to develop communications messages for the service which include media enquiries and engaging waste related content for the council’s multiple communication platforms. Provide financial analysis and support within the Waste Service to achieve savings through increased operational efficiency and competitive procurement where possible, whilst maintaining awareness of the business context of operational waste budgetary requirements and income opportunity. The successful candidate will have: Good standard of education that includes GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. Driving licence is essential to the role. Previous experience in supervising staff, in an administration support office setting. Previous experience of presentations and talks to a variety of stakeholders. Previous experience of delivering employee briefings/training sessions. Previous experience with performance management.
