About the Role: The Senior Manager of Technical Operations has responsibility for the company’s IT systems, cybersecurity, production deployments, and support. This role also has responsibility for management of the technical operations team, and the associated information security management system (ISMS) and related processes. This includes working with the QA/RA team to ensure compliance with standards and certifications maintained by the company. The role also involves working closely with other members of the R&D team to ensure that the company’s products are reliable, secure and performant when installed at customer sites and in the cloud, leading DevSecOps activities.
Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily technical operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of all systems and processes.
2. Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
3. Fulfil the company’s IT, cybersecurity and data management needs, including network design, monitoring and control, policies, backups, encryption, remote access etc.
4. Cloud, server and internal IT systems hardware selection and configuration, installation and operation.
5. Write code and scripts for automating deployment and operations tasks.
6. Produce documentation both for end users and for internal processes, and work with the QA/RA team to ensure compliance of the company’s operations with relevant standards and certifications.
7. Manage the company’s central customer support activities and promote a customer-centric culture.
8. Develop and shape the deployment, maintenance, monitoring and support processes within the company’s ISMS and QMS.
9. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, to support product development and compliance.
11. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
12. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
13. Manage technical budgets, resources, and timelines to meet project goals and objectives.
14. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation within the technical operations team.
15. Lead the company’s production software operations, including cloud server deployments, configuration, monitoring, remotely support all on-site servers and troubleshooting.

1. Proven experience in a technical operations management role within the medtech or related industry.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.

Desirable requirements:
1. Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).

4. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
2. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD) preferred.
