Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Clinical Operations with 8+ years of experience as a Study Manager, looking to take the next step in your career. This hands-on role involves overseeing global clinical trials, with direct involvement in every operational aspect, from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in early-phase oncology trials and a comprehensive understanding of global regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage global clinical trials, ensuring operational excellence, on-time execution, and adherence to regulatory standards across multiple regions.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline trial execution, focusing on site management, patient recruitment, and key milestones.
* Ensure compliance with MHRA, FDA, and EMA regulations, as well as global standards throughout the clinical trial process.
* Oversee operational aspects such as trial timelines, budgets, vendor management, and quality assurance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across geographies and resolve operational challenges.
* Provide leadership to global clinical teams, mentoring and guiding them through complex operational tasks.
* Monitor global trial progress, proactively addressing any challenges to ensure high-quality trial execution.
Qualifications:
* 8+ years of experience in clinical trial operations, with at least 3 years as a Study Manager.
* Expertise in managing early-phase oncology trials across global markets.
* Strong knowledge of MHRA, FDA, EMA, and global regulatory requirements.
* Proven experience leading clinical trials in a biotech environment.
* Expertise in managing multiple operational aspects of trials, such as timelines, budgets, vendors, and quality control.
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor cross-functional teams in a global setting.
* Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
