Trust Registrar/Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics to start from March 2025 for a 12 month period.
They would be based at both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.
The registrar would be attached to a specific consultant or consultant team, covering both trauma and elective duties.
Trauma theatres and fracture clinics run at Hull Royal Infirmary, and elective orthopaedic theatres at Castle Hill Hospital. Elective orthopaedic outpatient clinics run on both sites. There are occasional outpatient elective orthopaedic clinics at satellite hospitals.
Registrars are required to attend both fracture and elective clinics on a weekly basis, sometimes on more than one site.
A large majority of activities are consultant led.
Inpatient work, as well as attending theatre, includes review of trauma and elective patients and attendance on Consultant ward rounds.
