Job Title: Secondary Maths Tutor Location: South East England, Surrey, Leatherhead Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Salary: £20 - £30 per hour Job Duties: Provide one-on-one tutoring in secondary level mathematics Create individualised lesson plans based on student's specific needs Assist students in understanding complex mathematical concepts Track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Required Qualifications: Qualified teacher status (QTS) Experience teaching secondary level mathematics Knowledge of the UK national curriculum Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable Experience: At least 2 years of experience teaching secondary level mathematics Experience working with students with SEN Knowledge and Skills: Strong grasp of secondary level mathematics concepts Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Excellent organisational and time management skills Proficient in using technology to enhance learning Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Mathematics Education or related field Additional certifications in special education or teaching students with SEN Working Conditions: Part-time hours, temporary position Work may involve evenings or weekends to accommodate student schedules Location may vary based on student needs All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
