AJ Chambers is representing a top 15 firm in search of an Audit Assistant Manager. This firm builds strong, trusted client relationships and serves a diverse range of businesses, from entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. Your Role Responsibilities
* Manage client correspondence, scheduling, and audit planning.
* Supervise and review work of senior and junior staff, ensuring the file is complete and all review points are addressed before it is passed to the partner and manager.
* Handle critical audit areas and occasional advisory work.
* Monitor budgets, deadlines, and progress on audits.
* Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
* Assist with business development, tenders, and networking.
* Conduct client on-site visits and appraisals.
* Involved in tenders and presentations on audits & accounts.
* Identify new business opportunities.
* Establish local business contacts/networking.
* Monitor performance of staff working on jobs, including giving feedback after file review.
* Conduct 6 monthly appraisals for trainees.
Your Qualifications/Skills Needed
* ACCA/ACA qualified with strong audit experience (planning to completion).
* At least 2 years, post-qualification experience.
* Knowledge of accounting standards (SORP, FRS 102).
* Proficient in Excel, Word, Sage, CaseWare, and related software.
* Supervisory experience and strong communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Organisational skills.
